Barbara joined our staff in November of 2003. Her dedication to her work is noticed and appreciated by the staff and clients alike. Barb stays busy in her off hours by gardening, sewing, and spending time with her granddaughter. She’s also a huge Royals fan.
Southside Pet Hospital’s experienced support staff of Client Care Specialists, Certified Veterinary Technicians, Animal Health Technicians, and Animal Care Assistants strive to provide personalized, compassionate care for our patients and clients alike.
Valerie obtained her MBA through MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2013. Prior to coming to Southside in 2014, she worked as a veterinary technician, assistant, and receptionist. She also spent time as a director in higher education. Her goal is to help facilitate great customer service for Southside clients so they are better able to participate in managing their pet’s health. She is passionate about leading the Southside team towards the future and integrating new technologies and services to improve both the clients and pet’s experiences.
When not at work, Valerie spends most of her time with her husband Mark and their two daughters. As a family, they enjoy the lake, traveling, and being outdoors. Our kennel staff are trained and professional attendants who love spending time with your pet. When not in the clinic, many of our kennel attendants are pursuing their education and spending time with their own critters.
